Who We Are
This website belongs to McAvoy Bait and Tackle, 1001 McAvoy Rd, Bay Point, CA 94565, 925-458-1717. In this policy, "we" means the shop.
What We Collect
Very little. The site has no customer accounts, no sign up forms and no online store, so we do not ask you for your name, email or payment details. The only sign in is the shop’s own page for updating the bait list, and it is not for visitors. If you call or visit the shop, what you tell us stays at the shop.
What Our Web Host Records
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel’s servers keep short term logs of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs keep the site running and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to identify you.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site saves one small item in your browser to remember your cookie choice. On the shop’s own phone it can also keep the shop signed in to the bait list page. It runs no analytics or advertising unless you press Accept, and none are installed today. The Cookie Policy has the details, and the Cookie Choices button at the bottom of every page lets you change your mind.
Maps
The map on our site comes from Google and only loads when you tap Show the Map. Once loaded, Google may set its own cookies and collect information under the Google Privacy Policy. The direction links open Google Maps or Apple Maps in a new tab under their own policies.
Links to Other Sites
We link to sites we do not control, including the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Google Maps and Apple Maps. Their privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
Your California Privacy Rights
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. California residents may ask what personal information we hold about them and ask us to delete it. Because the site collects almost nothing, there is usually nothing to report, but you can ask any time by calling the shop.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
